Free agent cornerback Marcus Peters is still on the market and the Las Vegas Raiders continue to make a push to sign him as training camp nears.

The Raiders plan to host Peters for a visit on Monday, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Peters visited the Raiders in May but still has yet to choose a destination.

The veteran has been with the Baltimore Ravens since 2019, where he was named to a Pro Bowl and AP All-Pro First Team.

Before playing in Baltimore, Peters played one season and less than half of the 2019 season with the Los Angeles Rams, before he was traded to Baltimore that October.

Peters' NFL career began with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he played three seasons.

The Chiefs drafted Peters in the first round (18th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Peters has been one of the league's top cornerbacks since his arrival.

In his seven seasons, he has led the league in defensive touchdowns twice, with two in his rookie season and three in 2019-20.

That rookie season was one of the greatest first years of any defensive player ever, as Peters not only led the NFL in defensive touchdowns, but he also finished No. 1 in interceptions (eight) and passes defensed (26).

Peters also posted a career-best 60 combined tackles. He would be named the Defensive Rookie of the Year, while also earning his first of three Pro-Bowl honors.

While many members of Raider Nation believe Las Vegas took a step backward in regards to its roster this offseason, a deal with Peters would surely give fans something to look forward to right before the start of the season.

With the way the Raiders secondary struggled last season, it's fair to say a signing of Peters would top all free-agent moves in Las Vegas this offseason.

The Las Vegas Raiders open training camp for the entire team on July 25, 2023.

The Silver and Black open the preseason by hosting the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 4 p.m. EDT/1 p.m. PDT.
