Crosby Shares Message to Kids About Gaining Confidence

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby had the opportunity to share his message of gaining confidence with young athletes at a local high school event.

On Tuesday, Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby had the chance to speak at Sunrise Mountain High School at an event hosted by EA Sports Madden NFL.

Our Hondo Carpenter Sr. attended the event and spoke with Crosby on many subjects.

One of the subjects discussed was the importance of having confidence as a young athlete.

Crosby had the chance to share his thoughts and gave a strong message to the young athletes at the local high school.

"It's super important," Crosby said. "I know as a younger guy, I wasn't the most athletic; I was still growing into my body, and confidence was something that I struggled with at the time. You know, having a good support system but knowing how to gain confidence is strictly from the work you do every day. You must do it consistently. You must show up daily with a mindset to improve, with an attitude, and with action-based principles.

"That is what is the most important thing to me, is showing up every single day and trying to show these kids that I wasn't a five-star recruit. I didn't just fall into a position where I was on a professional team, it started with the work I did every single day and putting my best foot forward, just trying to improve. It took years and years and years to get to this level, and I'm still looking for improvement. I know I can still get better, so that's what I shared with these kids."
