Crosby, Raiders Attend Von Miller's Pass Rush Summit
Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby is always looking to improve on his pass rush ability, even as one of the best defensive ends in the NFL.
Over the last few seasons, Crosby has seen his sack numbers increase, and he has been named to two straight Pro Bowls.
As he continues to find new ways to get to the quarterback, Crosby and several other Raiders players attended Buffalo Bills star Von Miller’s seventh annual pass rush summit in Las Vegas at the M Resort, the official team hotel of the Raiders.
Miller has held the camp since 2017, a chance for defensive linemen to improve their craft. Crosby, defensive tackle Matthew Butler, defensive end Adam Butler, and undrafted free agent Adam Plant Jr. were in attendance.
Several star pass rushers attend the camp each year, including Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys and Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns in years past. Miller emphasizes the fact that while he hosts the camp, all the players can learn from each other.
Crosby taught his fellow pass rushers about how he gets off the snap and what he watches for in the actions of the offensive lineman he lines up against. He was not only at the camp to learn new pass rush moves for himself but to teach other pass rushers things he learned in the NFL.
The Raiders were last in the AFC last season in sacks with only 27, so the opportunity to learn new pass rush moves from the league’s best players can be a massive boost to a pass rush that will have to get after the quarterbacks in the AFC West to be competitive in the division.
The offseason is a time for players to improve ahead of the season, and Von Miller’s pass rush summit offers Maxx Crosby and the Raiders' defensive linemen a chance to do that.
With knowledge from some of the best defensive players in the league and new moves to add to their pass-rushing arsenal, the Raiders will head into the season with confidence that they can get to the quarterback.
