Las Vegas Raiders Pro-Bowl pass rusher Maxx Crosby is on pace to have a career season, and that first-team All-Pro selection he's been searching for could be in his future.

Not only is Crosby on pace to reach a career-high in sacks and best his league-leading 22 tackles for losses from last season, but through six games, the veteran is also leading the NFL in one major stat.

Per Pro Football Focus, Crosby is leading the league with 38 quarterback pressures.

Crosby leads Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons (37), Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (36), New York Jets defensive end Bryce Huff (33), Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young (31), Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald (30), San Francisco 49ers defensive end and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa (29), and Baltimore Ravens defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (29).

So far this season, Crosby has recorded 35 combined tackles, eight for losses, a pass defensed, and 5.5 sacks, including his game-sealing safety in the Raiders' 21-17 Week 6 victory over the New England Patriots.

The fifth-year Raider also is tied for fourth in the league in tackles for losses and seventh in sacks.

Crosby wanted to make a statement this season, and he is certainly doing so.

Often mentioned as an afterthought when the best edge rushers in the league are discussed, the 26-year-old defensive end is making it clear that his name belongs at the top of the list.

While Crosby has consistently been one of the best at his position over the last few years, he also led the league with 182 quarterback pressures over the last two seasons, according to PFF, and he's showing that he might just be getting better.

Crosby's efforts this season, as well as the play of the rest of the Raiders' defense, have helped secure victories in the final minutes of what have been tight games.
