The Las Vegas Raiders will have their hands full with the Miami Dolphins' speedy wide receivers, including Jaylen Waddle.

The Las Vegas Raiders will face their toughest test of the season so far when they travel to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to take on the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins have been one of the best teams in the NFL this season and boast the league’s highest-scoring offense at 31.7 points per game. This game could be the biggest indicator of how real the turnaround under Interim Coach Antonio Pierce is to this point.

The Dolphins’ offense features several star skill position players who are all dangerous with their speed. What makes the Dolphins such a tough team to defend is that even if wide receiver Tyreek Hill is contained, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle can still run free.

The Dolphins have arguably the best wide receiver duo in the NFL with Hill and Waddle. Waddle has an argument for being the best No. 2 receiver in the league, as he would be many teams’ top pass-catching option.

Waddle was selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Alabama, and he has lived up to that status in three years in the league. In those three seasons, Waddle has caught 219 passes for 2,893 yards and 17 touchdowns.

In 2022, Waddle broke out and emerged as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL with 75 receptions for 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns while being the second option in the passing game. His dynamic abilities make the Dolphins nearly impossible to stop when they are clicking.

Waddle wins his match-ups with elite speed and quickness, being simply too fast for many cornerbacks to remain in stride with him downfield. He also has the ability to take a short pass to the end zone because of his explosive speed and elusiveness. His ability to win at all three levels makes him one of the toughest covers in the league.

The Raiders’ secondary must be at their absolute best on Sunday when lining up with these Dolphins’ wide receivers, as they both have the ability to take over a game.

If the Raiders want to remain in the AFC playoff hunt, they will need to create the right game plan for Waddle and this Dolphins offense.

The Silver and Black will head out on the road to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
