Several Las Vegas Raiders will go head-to-head against their former team, the New England Patriots, on Sunday in Week 6 of the 2023-24 NFL regular season.

One Raider who gets to go up against his former team is wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.

Meyers spent four seasons with the Patriots, signing with New England as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State in 2019.

During his four seasons with the Patriots before signing with the Silver and Black, Meyers made 235 receptions for 2,758 yards and eight touchdowns in 60 games.

Patriots starting quarterback Mac Jones had the chance to speak on Meyers to the media this week ahead of Sunday's game.

Jones and Meyers spent two seasons for the Patriots, and Meyers made 139 receptions for 1,499 yards and seven touchdowns with Jones as the starting quarterback.

"Yeah, Jakobi is awesome," Jones said. "I just remember when I first came in, everyone talking about him, and when I finally got a chance to work with him, he was great. He did a lot of things really well. He still keeps in contact with me and all that stuff. I definitely have a lot of love for him, and he’s the man. He's a great guy off the field, but I'm really just looking forward to seeing him play. He’s done a great job on film."

Meyers has been a key weapon for the Raiders in his first season with the Silver and Black. He has 25 catches for 274 yards and three touchdowns. He is second in team receiving yards behind All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams, who has 442 yards.

Meyers looks to continue to be a key weapon for the Raiders on this Sunday against the Patriots, as he goes up against his former teammates.

The Silver and Black will stay home at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to play the New England Patriots on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 4:05 p.m. EDT/1:05 p.m. PDT.
