Raiders NFL Draft Prospect: Adetomiwa Adeboware

Northwestern Wildcat Adetomiwa Adeboware is an explosive tweener defensive lineman who could help the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Las Vegas Raiders are gearing up for the 2023 NFL Draft, as the first round begins in less than a week.

One position the Raiders know they need to address and will likely select at some point in the draft is along the defensive line. Coach Josh McDaniels’ team lacks depth or long-term answers, especially on the interior.

One player who can help them in that regard is Northwestern defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adeboware, an athletic, explosive player who can bounce between the interior and the edge.

Let’s look closely at Adeboware and see if he would fit in the Silver and Black.

In his four seasons with the Wildcats, Adeboware posted 97 tackles, 24.5 tackles for losses, and 12.5 sacks. He was named Third-Team All-Big Ten this past season.

Adeboware is a tweener defensive lineman, standing at 6-2 and weighing 280 pounds. His athleticism allows him to shoot gaps and stop the run. He also has pass-rush moves and is able to win off the edge with his quickness.

The main concern for Adeboware is, in fact, his size, as it sometimes becomes difficult for coaches to find a permanent place for a tweener. However, if Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham can use him differently, he could be worth a pick on day two of the draft.
