NFL Media Share Thoughts on Telesco and Pierce

NFL media had the chance to express their opinions on Las Vegas Raiders General Manager Tom Telesco and Coach Antonio Pierce.

Exciting times are happening for the Las Vegas Raiders, as a new era is underway with the Silver and Black.

Throughout the week, the NFL world reacted to the hiring new Las Vegas Raiders General Manager Tom Telsesco and Coach Antonio Pierce.

Two NFL media members spoke about Telesco, starting with the NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah.

"The Raiders are getting somebody who is a grade A human being," Jeremiah said. " ... Tom cares about people, he cares about the people he works with. He's an incredibly hard worker. He puts everything he has into it and I think he'll earn the respect of everybody in that building. You guys will see it."

NFL Networks Rhett Lewis also had the chance to express his thoughts on Telesco.

"This guy knows how to build a roster up front on both sides of the ball," Lewis said. " ... I think Tom Telesco is going to be a really terrific addition in terms of the personnel."

Two former quarterbacks who are NFL analysts also had the chance to express their thoughts on the Raiders' new head coach, Pierce, starting with ESPN's Robert Griffin III.

"The Raiders and Mark Davis got it right by hiring Antonio Pierce," G4iffin III said. "Being an NFL head coach isn't about calling the perfect blitz or scheming open a wide open TD pass. It's about leading men and getting them to see your vision and make it their identity."

Former Raiders quarterback Rich Gannon, who is also an NFL analyst, also spoke highly of Pierce.

"I think this is not a real surprise to a lot of us," Gannon said. "You watch the job that Antonio Pierce did this year. ... I think he brought some stability, some confidence to a young football team. ... I think the players really believed in the vision he had for the Raiders."

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
