The Las Vegas Raiders reside in Sin City, but every true Raiders fan knows the franchise's culture will always stem from California, particularly Oakland.

Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby has become the face of the team since it moved to Las Vegas, but his one year in the Oakland Coliseum makes his reputation as a "true" Raider much stronger.

Crosby was fortunate to join the Silver and Black for their final season in Oakland, which was the perfect induction into the NFL and the Raiders' franchise.

The three-time Pro Bowler shared his experience in Oakland on Friday's episode of his podcast, "The Rush With Maxx Crosby."

"I will never forget it for many reasons, good and bad," Crosby said. "But I mean, the fans in Oakland, I'm so happy I got to experience that, and obviously, it was the last year in Oakland.

"And just the fans, I can't even explain -- I'm coming from Eastern Michigan. Like, we had 12,000 in the crowd. They got tarps over the away side because there was nobody over there.

"That's what it was. And then my first game, we're playing Denver on Monday night. Von Miller's on the other side. ... The crowd was -- I can't even explain how ridiculous it was.

"They were throwing s--- on the field; there were like people falling out of the stands, just a s--- show.

" ... I mean, I've got so much love for Oakland; I've gone back a couple of times since, but I need to get back out to Oakland because I've got a ton of love for them, for sure."
