After two consecutive road games to start the season, the Las Vegas Raiders will finally get a chance to play in front of their home fans in Las Vegas.

The Raiders were one of five teams in the National Football League to start their first two games on the road. The Raiders won one of the two games on the road.

Sometimes, it's just not your day in football, which was the case for the Raiders in Buffalo on Sunday. Against the Bills, just about everything that could go wrong did go wrong for the Raiders' offense.

Entering this season, it was well known that the Raiders would go as far as their offense took them. The Bills understood that and got the Raiders' offense out of rhythm.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo finished the game with 185 yards passing, one touchdown, two interceptions and a 68.9 passer rating. Star running back Josh Jacobs finished the game with minus two yards yards, and a rookie wide receiver Tre Tucker led the Raiders with 34 yards rushing on a jet sweep.

Neither is a recipe for success.

It is always essential to keep everything in perspective. As bad as the game went for Las Vegas, they still return home 1-1, atop the division, with a chance to go 2-1 this upcoming Sunday against the Steelers, with another divisional game following that.

If the Raiders can win on Sunday against a Steelers team entirely over-matched by the San Francisco 49ers last week, they will have a chance to go 3-1, with two of those three wins being in divisional games.

Sunday's game in Buffalo was one that most people did not expect them to win, but a 28-point loss is never easy to accept. The good news for the Raiders is that they can get that taste out of their mouths in seven short days.

Bad games happen, so we will see this Sunday if the Raiders and their offense can get back on track.

The Silver and Black return home to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8:20 p.m. EDT/5:20 p.m. PDT.
