The Las Vegas Raiders are moving on after a 38-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park. The team now shifts their focus on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.
These two teams are known for having lots of history in the past. This will be the third straight season the Silver and Black play the Steelers in the regular season.
However, this is the first time Pittsburgh will play at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on prime time Sunday Night Football on NBC.
Last NFL regular season, the Raiders lost to the Steelers, 13-10, in Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow was the only Raider who scored for the Silver and Black against the Steelers last season.
Raiders star running back Josh Jacobs rushed for 15 carries the last time these two teams played and finished with 44 yards, averaging 2.9 yards per carry.
If the Raiders win over the Steelers this Sunday, they will extend the all-time series. The Raiders lead the all-time series, 14-11, over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Steelers are 0-1, as they lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 30-7, last week. They play their NFC North rivals, the Cleveland Browns, on primetime Monday Night Football tonight.
This will be the second time sophomore quarterback on the Steelers, Kenny Pickett, will play the Raiders in his career. Last season, he finished the game throwing 26 completions on 39 attempts for 244 passing yards and one touchdown. He had a quarterback rating of 81.6 against.
With a victory on Sunday on primetime Sunday Night Football, the Raiders will extend the all-time series to 14-11 against the Steelers as they play their regular season home opener in Allegiant Stadium.
The Silver and Black return home to Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8:20 p.m. EDT/5:20 p.m. PDT.
