The Las Vegas Raiders are well-represented inside the walls of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

That recognition grew recently when the Pro Football Hall of Fame commemorated the Raiders' 500th regular-season victory with a display honoring the historic achievement, which it announced on its website on Wednesday.

The display features a game ball from the Raiders' 500th franchise victory over the New England Patriots in Week 6, as well as a visor worn by Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels.

The Raiders' 500th victory made them the 10th team since 1960 to reach the mark during the regular season. They have a winning percentage of .520 in that period.

McDaniels, who comes from a football family, grew up in Canton, Ohio, where the Hall of Fame is located, and played football at Canton McKinley High School, whose home field hosts the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame game.

His father, Thom McDaniels, was the head football coach at McKinley for many of his 40 years of coaching. As a high school football coach, he was named Coach of the Year nine times and was the USA Today national Coach of the Year in 1997.

Josh McDaniels achieved the Raiders' 500-win milestone against his former team, who he won six Super Bowl titles with and was the offensive coordinator for 13 seasons. He was on the Patriots' coaching staff for 18 seasons.

The 500th victory came down to the wire, as the Raiders led, 19-17, and were tasked with stopping New England from marching almost the entire field length with just under two and a half minutes remaining in the game.

The rest was --quite literally -- history, as Raiders Pro-Bowl edge rusher Maxx Crosby would sack Patriots quarterback Mac Jones in the end zone, clinching the victory with a safety.

Las Vegas will be looking to earn its first win since its accolade when it takes on the Detroit Lions in Monday Night Football.

The Silver and Black will stay on the road to take on the Detroit Lions on Monday night, Oct. 30, at 8:15 p.m. EDT/5:15 p.m. PDT.
