The Las Vegas Raiders are very fortunate to have players who have stepped up this offseason in the running back room, even without star running back Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs decided not to attend Raiders OTA's nor Raiders minicamp this offseason. The Raiders decided to use their franchise tag on the star running back and hope to reach a long-term deal.

There is; however, a running back in the Raiders running back room who is fighting for a roster spot and is a prospect to look out for.

Sincere McCormick is making an impact in the Raiders' running back room. He is an undrafted free agent signed in 2022 and played college football at Texas-San Antonio.

During his time with Texas-San Antonio, he became a phenomenal player. Before tearing an ACL last offseason, the Raiders had some concerns revolving around him when he was at UTSA. He played 36 games and rushed for 3,939 yards and 34 touchdowns.

In the 2021 college football season, he led the Roadrunners to a 12-1 record and finished as the Most Valuable Player of the Conference USA Championship Game. In the Conference USA Championship Game, he rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries.

McCormick was a two-time Offensive Player of the Year in Conference USA.

Bouncing back after an injury like an ACL tear is always challenging. Offensive coordinator Mick Lombardi spoke with the media during Raiders OTA's on how McCormick is coming off a significant injury.

"Any time a player gets an injury like that where he is out a long time, you hope he comes back and hope he performs the way he wants to perform," Lombardi said. "And I think Sincere has not only done that but he's done a great job of just learning the playbook and coming out there.

"He's gotten some reps too, probably reps he wouldn't have gotten as a rookie before."

As competitive as the Raiders' running back room is, it will be very interesting to see if McCormick can make the Raiders' 53-Man roster.
