Maxx Crosby Gives an Update on Health of Knee
The Las Vegas Raiders are gearing up for the final stretch of the 2023 season.
The Raiders (5-8) have four games left after losing on Sunday to the Minnesota Vikings, 3-0. Las Vegas is still alive, but every game becomes much more important.
Making the playoffs is their ultimate goal, and the Raiders know this final stretch will not be easy. What will help, however, is having defensive end Maxx Crosby healthy.
Crosby has been dealing with a knee injury but has not missed a game because of it. He gave an update on his health on the most recent episode of his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby.
“My knee is doing the best it’s been,” he said. “It’s been a battle. This is not something that is new, but obviously, it was at a different level with the infection and everything, but it’s something I’ve been dealing with all season, so I got to take a lot of time to just take care of my body, get in the weight room and take steps forward. It’s all about gaining ground, and that’s exactly what I did all week. I can’t wait to get back in the building and get to work.”
The Raiders need Crosby on the field to be at their best, as he is the best player on their defense and is the heart and soul of the team. He has been excellent on the field yet again this season, but he is the engineer of the Raiders’ defense, and his outstanding play also elevates the other players on the field.
Now that his knee is healthy, Crosby can return to playing his best football. Even with the knee injury, he was playing at a high level, but now that he is not encumbered by it, he will be able to move more freely on the field and get after the quarterback even more.
Raiders fans will be delighted to hear that Crosby’s knee is healed and will not cause him any more problems that could have caused him to miss games.
Crosby is crucial to the Raiders for more reasons than just his play on the field.

The Silver and Black will turn around quickly and host their AFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers, on Thursday, December 14, at 8:15 p.m. EST/5:15 p.m. PST.
