INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Las Vegas Raiders General Manager Tom Telesco and Senior Director of Player Personnel JoJo Wooden are back under the same roof, making up for a short separation.

The two were together over the last 11 NFL seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. Wooden took over as interim head coach after Telesco was let go with three games remaining in the Chargers' 2023 season.

"Yeah, I've worked with JoJo for a long time, my whole tenure with the Chargers," Telesco told reporters at the 2024 NFL Combine on Tuesday. "I always thought he came up the right way. He was with the Jets for a long time, came up in that [Bill] Parcells philosophy, so he knows football really well.

"He's just really well-experienced both in college and pro scouting. He's really experienced on my style of working, and he has a great reputation in the league. So, even when he came in our building, he knew a lot of the Raiders staffers already.

"They know him well. So, the transition's been really smooth, and it's just adding another person who really knows the game well, has great people skills, can really work with coaches well. It's comforting on our staff between JoJo and Dwayne Joseph and Champ Kelly, we have people that could be GMs somewhere and, most likely, will be GMs at some point.

"So, I need that help around me. I need those ideas from people like that."

Telesco and Wooden saw the Chargers reach the postseason only three times during their tenures with the franchise. Raider Nation can only hope they reach higher levels of success as executives for the Raiders.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
