Raiders' Top-30 Visits This Week Include Two QB Prospects
The 2023 NFL Draft is only weeks away, so it's time for teams to host their Top 30 visits.
The Las Vegas Raiders have made it clear that despite the signing of Jimmy Garoppolo, they still have quarterback prospects on their radar in this year's draft.
That was further proven when NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that the club would host Kentucky quarterback Will Levis on Monday.
Rapoport later confirmed that Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson would visit the Raiders on Friday.
Levis played two seasons at Kentucky after transferring from Penn State. He started in all 13 games in his junior campaign (2021 season), totaling 2,827 passing yards and 24 touchdowns.
Levis would return in 2022 to throw for 2,406 passing yards and 19 touchdowns in 11 starts.
Richardson had an impressive 2022 campaign after making the All-SEC Freshmen Team as a redshirt freshman the season before. He finished the season with 2,549 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in 12 starts, averaging 212.42 yards per game.
Raiders General Manager Dave Ziegler and Assistant General Manager Champ Kelly attended Richardson's Pro Day on Thursday.
The Raiders will be the first of six teams Richardson will meet with for a Top-30 visit, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Las Vegas has the seventh overall pick in this year's draft.
The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period began at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15.
The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this offseason.
