The Las Vegas Raiders will have much to look forward to this week with the latest news to come out of training camp.

According to our own Hondo S. Carpenter Sr., the club has activated defensive end Tyree Wilson, the Silver and Black's first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Wilson, who has not participated in any organized team activities up to this point, will be on the field for the Raiders' joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday.

The Texas Tech product had sustained a foot injury last season that cut short his final college campaign.

Las Vegas placed Wilson on the non-football injury list on July 21.

The 23-year-old edge rusher played three seasons for the Red Raiders after transferring from Texas A&M.

Wilson registered 121 combined tackles, 32 for losses and 17 sacks in 35 games during his college career. He would be selected to the Associated Press' All-American Second Team in his senior season and also made the Football Writers Association of America's All-American First Team, the the Associated Press' All-American team, all-conference and Phil Steele's All-Big 12 First Team.

Wilson was selected with the seventh overall pick of this year's draft, having been the first of the Raiders' nine picks.

The Silver and Black return to preseason action when they play the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 9 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. PDT.
