Podcast: A Silver and Black Thanksgiving

Our latest episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast discusses a truly Silver and Black Thanksgiving.
In this story:

The Las Vegas Raiders (5-6) return home to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this week to take on their AFC West arch-rivals, the world champion Kansas City Chiefs (7-3).

After the performance that the Silver and Black had in a loss at Miami last weekend, the Raiders are ready to get back on the field and get this franchise back to its winning ways.

The latest episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast discusses a truly Silver and Black Thanksgiving.

In this episode, I cover a multitude of reasons Raiders fans must be thankful for. I mention several players. I had planned on mentioning Josh Jacobs and erroneously thought I had, and I missed him. For that, I am truly sorry.

Interim Coach Antonio Pierce discussed the culture that he and Champ Kelly are trying to produce: "Win, lose or draw, the product that you see on the field is that you say, 'OK, well, they might have come up short.' Like the other day, we ran out of time. That's what I told our players, that we ran out of time. And like I said, regardless of what the score is, the way we played, our intention of how we played, the execution of our play, the mindset of our team, that's what I'm looking for. And I think we've done that. Win, lose or draw. Obviously, we came up short last week, but then it's a new week and we're at home and we're excited."

Pierce elaborated on whether or not he is seeing that culture come together. "Yeah, I think the team has been the same, win, lose or draw," Pierce said. "They're not blinking, they have the same attitude, the mindset. We're talking the same. We're not getting frustrated. We're not pointing fingers, you hear 'team,' you hear 'we,' you hear 'us,' and I think that's the key part about it."

The Silver and Black will return home this week to celebrate Thanksgiving and take on their AFC West rival, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Sunday, November 26, at 4:25 p.m. EST/1:25 p.m. PST.
