Raiders WR Adams Speaks About New OC Getsy

Las Vegas Raiders superstar wide receiver Davante Adams spoke about the new Silver and Black Offensive Coordinator, Luke Getsy.
In this story:

LAS VEGAS, Nev.--Las Vegas Raiders Coah Antonio Pierce found the man he wants to lead his offense into its next season success.

That hire is former Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy.

We have extensively shared Getsy's long track record of success with you before his last stop with the Bears.

Part of that success came about with the successful Green Bay Packers, who included Raiders superstar wide receiver Davante Adams.

While some have been hyper-critical of the move, most can step back from the Chicago situation and look at some things he did well in the Windy City and his previous NFL stops.

At a Make-A-Wish event here in Las Vegas, I asked Adams for his first public comments on the hire, and his answers won't disappoint.

"I was really excited," Adams said. "That was a good feeling knowing that it was a guy who I have worked with, I know how he works, I know how his mind works, we have had success together, so it is definitely exciting."

Adams went on to add what Getsy will bring: "Innovation, the type of coach that is open-minded, and going to be open to hear things from the veteran players who know how this thing works, and the best way to do things. It's a lot of different things. The open-mindedness and innovation to the offense. A good run-pass balance, and that is what I am used to. That West Coast style, and it will be fun getting to work on new systems and things that we are familiar with, me and the guys.""

Some fans might not be excited, but the people who matter the most are. The head coach and the superstar wide receiver believe this bodes well for Raider Nation.

Attending today's event, the largest ever one-time Make-A-Wish campaign of 20 children, along with Adams, were Dallas Cowboys superstar linebacker Micah Parson and Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin.
