COSTA MESA, Cal.—The Las Vegas Raiders invaded Costa Mesa, California, and even though the local NFL teams prevented tens of thousands of fans from attending, the Silver and Black marched on.

The pads are on, and the 2024 NFL Training Camp is popping; as the second week is coming to an end today, we offer CB Jakorian Bennett and everything he said from training camp.

You can watch the entire press conference below:

The Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce spoke from camp and below is a partial transcript of what he said.

Q: Getting back to Nate Hobbs, we had mentioned that he had like three pass breakups right in a row. He's like, ‘Yeah, but I didn't get the interception that I thought I should.’ So, it feels like there's an accountability factor there. As a coach, I'm sure that's great to your ears?

Coach Pierce: “Yeah, me and Nate talk about that often going back to my first year here. You know, pass breakups is like the volleyball players. Good football players intercept the ball and take it the other direction. And we keep talking about making that leap from good to great, making that next step. And that's the next step for Nate. He understands that it’s a big year for Nate and a big year for us overall. But Nate each and every year I've been here has just gotten better and better. I mean, you don't want to say he's the best nickel or whatever. But he's a hell of a football player, man. He's tough. He’s physical, he can fit the run. He can cover, we can put him inside, we can put him outside, which we've done. I think you just see the development, and that's the growth I think a lot of people take for granted in the National Football League from a player in year one to year four, you know, just seeing that development and that confidence. But now he's like that's not cool no more breaking up passes, I need to intercept it to make a difference in the game.”

Q: Jack Jones is playing at a very high level right now. I'm just curious about to be able to see him take it from last year and bring it right in, how pleased are you with him?

Coach Pierce: “Yeah, I'm just glad that we keep stacking back-to-back days with Jack. Everything I talk with Jack is about being consistent, being a pro, being on time, being where you're supposed to be, talking, communicating, being accountable, making it to where everybody can trust and love you. You know, Jack's a special player. He's been a special player since I've known him. And when Jack is in a good place, the Raiders are in a good place.”
