Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo
Q: You have the chance to play the Steelers Sunday night any thoughts after watching them play?
Garoppolo: "Yeah, got to see them -- a damn good defense. They made some plays, put some points up on the board, so it's going to be a good challenge for us this week. We have to do our part on offense."
Q: Coach Josh McDaniels talked about how the film was not going to lie in that it was going to show that there are some easily fixable things on film. Did you kind of agree with that assessment?
Garoppolo: "Oh, yeah. And I just said it after the game, a lot of self-inflicted wounds, just things we could correct, though. I thought we had a pretty good day out here doing that. Really, it's about getting guys on the same page, getting us into a rhythm and things will take care of themselves from there."
Q: Do you think you could get Hunter Renfrow going this week, and why do you think there's been a little bit of a slow side there? I know McDaniels said there were some plays in there against Buffalo, so do you think you'll have a better connection with him this Sunday?
Garoppolo: "Yeah, I think so. I think there's going to be some opportunities. Really just about getting the ball in space, letting those guys run with it, get some yards after the catch, and Hunter's one of the best at that. So, he’s been doing a great job man, just have to find him with the ball."
Q: It's your first home game, Raider Nation, Sunday Night Football. I mean, everybody's watching it. How much are you looking forward to that?
Garoppolo: "It's going to be fun. We had the Sunday Night Football music playing out here today to get you in the mood. Sunday Night Football is fun, man. It's going to be a great atmosphere. I can't wait to see the fans. So, Raider Nation hopefully will be rocking on Sunday night."
The Silver and Black return home to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8:20 p.m. EDT/5:20 p.m. PDT.
