The Las Vegas Raiders continue to add new weapons as they overhaul their roster, including the signing of defensive lienman Jordan Williams, the once Kansas State star.

HENDERSON, Nev.--While the Las Vegas Raiders refuse to call their overhaul of the roster a "rebuild," today Dave Ziegler added a solid piece to that effort when by signing former Kansas State Wildcat and Big 12 standout Jordan Willis to a new deal.

The Raiders are desperate for some defensive help, and getting Willis to assist Maxx Crosby on the interior is a real help. Per the team:

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed unrestricted free agent DL Jordan Willis, the club announced Monday.

Willis joins the Raiders after playing the past two seasons for the San Francisco 49ers (2021-22). Originally a third-round selection (73rd overall) by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2017 NFL Draft, Willis has played in 69 career games with two starts, posting 91 tackles (55 solos), 10.5 sacks, 15 tackles for losses, one pass defensed, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., Willis played at Kansas State from 2013-16, where he registered 114 tackles, 40.5 tackles for losses, 26 sacks and seven forced fumbles. As a senior, Willis was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, First-Team All-Big 12, and Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year.

The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period began at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15.

The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
