Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast: Addition of Marcus Epps
HENDERSON, Nev.--Las Vegas Raiders General Manager Dave Ziegler and Coach Josh McDaniels have a plan. While few may be privy to the plan, it is quickly unfolding.
Last week, I broke the news that not only are teams calling the Raiders about trading for wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, but that the Raiders are listening.
The Raiders will certainly be making more moves before the NFL Draft and many more after it.
Today we look at the addition of safety Marcus Epps and what he brings to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Epps played in 99 percent of the Philadelphia Eagles defensive snaps. He is durable and available.
Our guest is Ed Kracz, my colleague and the Editor and Publisher of Eagles Today, who covered Epps daily as a fantastic beat writer.
Kracz takes us inside the locker room and tells us what we can expect from Epps in the locker room, on the field, and off.
Kracz and most of those who pay attention to the Eagles were stunned that the birds didn't re-sign him. I asked Epps last week if he was shocked, and he told me: “Going into it, I wasn't really sure what was going to happen. But the Raiders, they made the biggest push for me and that meant a lot to me. I'm really excited to be here and really excited to play for this storied franchise. I just can't wait to get to work with the guys.”
The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo.
The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period began at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15. The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
