The NFL has lost some legends this offseason, with Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce being the two most-notable players to hang up their cleats.

The two players, who will likely go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame together in 2029, share a great deal of respect for each other, but their matchups were more one-sided than one might expect. When asked by former NFL defensive lineman Chris Long, who played with both players during his career, which offensive line gave him the most trouble, Donald revealed his disdain for playing against the Eagles, largely thanks to Kelce.

“I hated playing against Philly Kelce,” Donald said. “His little fast (bleep) always ran full. He would snap the ball and run over right now, and just- I’m like, bro, you got some good guards, let them work. You don’t got to help them every time. …

“I’m like every single play every time I played the Eagles, bro I really never really got no one-on-ones I probably had like one or two during a game, and that would be it.”

Donald finished his 10-year career with 111 sacks, but not a single one of them came against the Eagles. L.A. also went 1-4 against Philadelphia throughout Donald's career.

Donald also never registered a sack against the New York Jets, but he only played two games against them compared to the five he played against the Eagles.

Even though Kelce kept Donald in check during their matchups, the former Eagles center still has the utmost respect for his competitor. He even once compared blocking Donald to "trying to wrestle a liger (a hybrid between a male lion and female tiger) coated in baby oil."

The two recently-retired legends are some of the best to ever play at their respective positions, and they both have a future in Canton very soon.
