Los Angeles Rams Officially Ink Deal with Ex-Bills DB Tre'Davious White
The Los Angeles Rams officially signed cornerback Tre’Davious White to a one-year deal Tuesday.
“Los Angeles, how are you guys doing? Tre’Davious White here,” he said in a video posted by the Rams. “Just signed my contract. Excited to get to work. Get to work for you fans, get out here in the community with the fans, and put my best foot forward with my teammates and I’m excited to be here. Go, Rams.
White spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Buffalo Bills. He was limited to just four games last season after suffering a torn Achilles.
He is a two-time Pro Bowler and was originally a first-round pick out of LSU. White finished last season with 12 tackles, two passes defensed and an interception. Throughout his Bills tenure, White logged 311 total tackles, 68 passes defensed and 18 interceptions in 82 career games.
White looks to strengthen Los Angeles’ secondary and time will tell if the front office targets the defensive line next. The Rams are in dire need of improved pass-rushing. The retirement of Aaron Donald makes matters more difficult.
The 2024 NFL Draft presents an opportunity to improve. The Rams haven’t used a first-round pick since 2016 but have yet to trade the No. 19 overall pick. Given the holes that could be filled by instant-impact rookies, utilizing all seven draft picks could be an investment that has a significant payoff.
