Amon-Ra St. Brown Implores Lions Fans To Do 'Something Crazy' In Matthew Stafford Return
The Los Angeles Rams' Wild Card matchup with the Detroit Lions is going to be one for the ages, as the two teams have a lot of history with each other.
The two teams practically swapped quarterbacks back in 2021, and now, they will get to face off in the playoffs.
Because of this history between the two teams, Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown wants the people of Detroit to get loud, and he talked more about this in the latest episode of his podcast, The 33rd Team.
"Lions fans, I need you guys to show out crazy this week," St. Brown said. "I know you guys already will, but it's been 30 years. Come on. I need something crazy... I want Stafford not to be able to think type (expletive). Like where he can't even hear himself think. We need you guys that (overdone) on this Sunday. We love you guys. Thank you."
The Wild Card matchup against the Rams is the first playoff game that the Lions have ever hosted at Ford Field. And St. Brown believes that should be reason enough for fans to be louder than they have been all season.
The two teams will face off on Sunday. Jan. 14 in what will almost certainly be an instant classic. Matthew Stafford knows that there is history between the two teams and that the home crowd will be loud, and he seems ready for it.
"I'm not a stranger to the situation and understanding that I'm the bad guy coming to town," Stafford told reporters on Wednesday. "I'm on the other team, and they don't want success for me. So, whatever happens, happens. I'm going to go experience it. Play the game once the ball is snapped, man. Let's go. Let's go. Two good football teams. Go compete and see what happens.
Kickoff is set for primetime on Sunday Night Football at 5:15 pm PT at Ford Field.
