Coleman Shelton Re-Signs With Rams on 2-Year Deal

The Rams are bringing back one of their top offensive lineman on a two-year deal.
In this story:

The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to terms to re-sign offensive lineman Coleman Shelton on a two-year deal, the team announced.

Despite missing four games last season, Shelton was a critical part of a Rams offensive line that dealt with severe injury issues all year long.

Shelton started 13 games in 2022, including eight at the center spot, four at right guard, and one at left guard.

Coming to the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Washington, Shelton first found himself on the Cardinals practice squad.

The Rams would eventually claim him off of the practice squad in 2019, and the rest was history.

Since then, Shelton has played in 56 games for the Rams, starting 15 of those games. He has also played in six playoff games, including the Rams Super Bowl LVI winning team.

Oddly enough, after putting his signature to paper on Thursday morning, Shelton now becomes the first true signing during the free agency period for the Rams since it opened on Monday afternoon.

The Rams have designated Michael Hoecht, Shaun Jolly and Christian Rozeboom as exclusive rights free agents, however.
