DeSean Jackson Praises Rams WR Tutu Atwell
When the Los Angeles Rams learned that they'd be without Cooper Kupp to start the season, there were some major concerns as to who would be able to step up.
We got that answer in the first couple of weeks of the season via youngster Tutu Atwell.
The former Lousiville pass catcher has done so well that, former Eagles star and brief-time Los Angeles Ram, DeSean Jackson, has become quite the fan of Rams wideout Tutu Atwell.
This season has seen Atwell explode for the Rams through the first couple of weeks. Something that Jackson took notice of and made sure to shout out to the young receiver on the app formerly known as Twitter.
Through two games, Atwell has recorded 13 catches for nearly 196 yards while averaging 15.1 yards per catch.
These numbers are a significant jump from last season as through 13 games Atwell recorded just 18 catches for 298 yards and one score, so he is on pace to surpass these numbers as soon as this weekend if he continues to play as well as he does.
The Rams have to be thrilled with Atwell's emergence, as well as Puka Nacua. In the absence of star receiver Cooper Kupp who has yet to play this season. Atwell and Nacua have combined for 38 catches for 462, and have emerged as the safety blankets for Matthew Stafford.
Atwell and the Rams are set to hit the road this next week as on Monday they will be heading to Cincinnati to take on the struggling Bengals.
