Rams vs. Saints Week 11: How to Watch, Betting Odds, Injury Report
The Los Angeles Rams head to New Orleans to take on the struggling Saints at the Caesars Superdome on Sunday.
The Rams are still the defending Super Bowl Champions even if they're not playing like it.
The Rams and Saints have been on similar paths this season - paths to disappointment. Both teams are well under .500 and desperate for a victory.
The Saints have lost two straight and four of their last five, but trail first-place Tampa Bay in the NFC South by just two games.
The Rams are under .500 for the first time since coach Sean McVay arrived in town and stand two and a half games behind division-leading Seattle in the NFC West.
"This is where we're at and you've got to be able to handle it," McVay said. "What you do want to do is make sure that you don't ever press the panic button.
"As a competitor, it certainly is challenging, it's not fun," McVay added. "But you only have one option. We talk about controlling those things that you can control and that's how we move forward, while not minimizing that there's a lot of things that we can collectively do better to try to change the way that it's looking when you guys are seeing us play those games."
The Saints have struggled with injuries this season including two-time All-Pro receiver Michael Thomas who is out for the season. But injuries aren't the whole story for the Saints as they've also been plagued by mistakes, as they lead the NFL with a minus-12 turnover differential.
The Rams have their own injury problems, including receiver Cooper Kupp.
"Any time that you lose a player like that, you never replace him," McVay said. "But what it does provide is an opportunity for us to learn about a lot of other guys from that receiver room and really our offense in general. So, you have to look at it through that lens."
