Lions 'Dirty as S***!' Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford Rips Detroit For Tyler Higbee Playoff Injury - WATCH

"You're dirty as s***, and you know it!''

This remark from Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams isn't about postgame sour grapes over seeing their season end in Detroit with the Lions on Sunday night recording a 24-23 win.

No, it happened in live action. Real time. Mic'd up. And it happened immediately after Rams tight end Tyler Higbee sustained a devastating injury during the game as he was hit low on a play over the middle, tearing up his knee.

Following the play, Stafford confronted the Lions defense, and Detroit safety Kerby Joseph specifically, accusing them of playing dirty.

"Hey!! That's a good hit, but you're dirty as s*** and you know it. It's been on tape. I seen it!" Stafford can be heard saying.

Higbee suffered both a torn ACL and a torn MCL on the low hit. Joseph - who does indeed have a reputation for such things, defended the hit.

"I don’t have no intention to hurt no body and or harm their career," he wrote on social media.

And Lions coach Dan Campbell chimed in, explaining, “That’s how we play football here. Just keep your head up, see what you hit. That’ll always be what I tell Kerby. ... He’s going for the thigh board and staying away from the head. That’s how we play defense here. It’s not dirty. We hit."
