'No Shortage of Storylines' For Rams On Thursday Night Football

One season removed from winning Super Bowl LVI, the Los Angeles Rams will appear in only two primetime games in 2023, including hosting the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night in Week 16.

Now with the Saints, Quarterback Derek Carr also faced the Rams in a Thursday night game with the Raiders last season in a game that Los Angeles emerged victorious.

Los Angeles' game vs. the Saints will be on Prime Video's Thursday Night Football.  TNF will feature matchups between all 14 playoff teams from last season. This comes after a lackluster 2022 season slate full of rough matchups.

The 2023 Amazon Prime matchups look much better. Sports Illustrated's Jimmy Traina reached out to TNF's lead voice, Al Michaels for his take on the schedule, who says there is storylines galore for this season's slate.

“Love the way we come out of the gate," Michaels said. "Three ‘A’ grade games. Two Aaron Rodgers games. Baltimore-Cincinnati is another good one. League did us a solid.

“I was raring to go the minute I saw the whole slate. Already thinking of storylines for each game, of which there is no shortage.”

On one of the biggest shopping days of the year, Prime Video will make history with the presentation of the very first NFL Black Friday game on November 24, as the Jets host the Dolphins.

“Great idea," Michaels said. "Tens of millions recovering from the prior day’s tryptophan hangover will love it. Rodgers-Tua, a marquee matchup on any day.”

Wins for football fans and for Prime Video... And for the Rams, who have the third-worst odds to win the NFC Conference, hopefully, a Thursday night win as well.

Los Angeles hopes a healthy quarterback Matthew Stafford will go a long way in rebounding from 2022's 5-12 season. A win on TNF in the Rams' final home game of the regular season could be a big determining factor in their quest to get back to the playoffs.
