While the Los Angeles Rams have a strong likelihood of improving upon their performance in 2023, the journey to the playoffs in the upcoming season won't be a walk in the park either.

After coming in second place in the NFC West, they are set to encounter several challenging opponents in the regular season.

According to NFL researcher Ivan Urena, the Rams are gearing up for the 12th-toughest schedule in the league, facing off against opponents with a combined record of 146-143 from the past season.

With 10 games against teams finishing above .500 and showdowns against seven playoff contenders, the Rams are in for a challenging road ahead.

But what makes it so tough? Let's dive into where the Rams' schedule stands among the toughest in the league:

The 2024 schedule for Los Angeles includes playoff opponents like the Lions, Packers, Eagles, Bills, and Dolphins, with the Lions matchup coming back in Detroit at Ford Field.

The Seahawks and Cardinals are looking at the seventh-easiest schedules in the NFL based on 2023 records. Surprisingly, the 49ers, despite topping the division, share the same strength of schedule (.505) as the Rams.

Apart from facing seven playoff teams, the Rams will also take on the Vikings and Jets. Despite missing the playoffs last season, these teams are expected to make a strong comeback next season with healthier quarterbacks.

Fortunately for L.A., the majority of its toughest games come at home, which could bode well for their 2024 playoff push.
