'Legends Live Forever': Los Angeles Rams Honor Aaron Donald With L.A. Times Ad
For a decade, the Los Angeles Rams were blessed to have the legendary Aaron Donald suit up for them.
Over Donald's decade-long career, no defender struck more fear in opposing offenses. The longtime Rams star racked up 111 sacks over 10 years, which is practically unheard of for a defensive tackle. Donald's long list of accolades includes 10 Pro Bowl selections, eight first-team All-Pro selections, three Defensive Player of the Year awards, and most importantly for him, a Super Bowl LVI ring.
The joy ride came to an end last month, though, as Donald announced his retirement at the age of 32. It's officially the end of an era in L.A., as the Rams now have to move forward without arguably the greatest defensive player of all time.
Donald may be gone, but his impact on the Rams will stick around for many years to come. In honor of Donald's legendary career, the Rams took out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times featuring his image and the words "legends live forever," a fitting tribute for such an accomplished player.
Donald's retirement shocked the NFL world, but it didn't exactly come out of nowhere. Rumors of him hanging up his cleats swirled in each of the last two offseasons, and with nothing left to prove, he decided to call it a career at a relatively young age.
As Donald moves into the next chapter of his life, he'll always be a beloved part of the Rams and their history.
