'Like No Other': Aaron Donald Reveals Thoughts on Los Angeles Rams Coach Sean McVay
The Los Angeles Rams hired Sean McVay back in 2017, and ever since then, he has become one of the best and most respected head coaches in the entire NFL.
Aaron Donald appeared on the most recent episode of Green Light with Chris Long to talk about his career and what he plans to do after football. One of the things that the Rams legend talked about was how good McVay is and the relationship between the two.
"When you talk about the X's and O's of the game from an offensive standpoint, it's like no other," Donald said. "For the knowledge of the game, he's a genius when it comes to that... You want to have good coaches that are good on the field, but care about you way more beyond football... You want to win for a coach like that."
Ever since the Rams made him the youngest head coach in NFL history at 30 years old, McVay has led the Rams to a lot of success. In his seven seasons as head coach, he had led the team to five playoff appearances, one of which ended with the Rams hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Even though Donald retiring leaves a fairly large hole in the defense, the Rams could be in a good position to once again make the playoffs and contend for a championship. The team has both youth and veterans that, when combined with the genius of McVay, can compete with anyone.
