Best Rams Non-QBs Ever? Chris Simms Ranks Top 5

Are these the five best players that the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams have had since 2000?
In this story:

Former NFL quarterback and current NBC analyst Chris Simms recently ranked the five best non-quarterback players that the Rams franchise has employed since 2000. All five of them spent time playing in St. Louis, while only one overlapped and played for the Rams in both St. Louis and Los Angeles

The five names that Simms and co-host Ahmed Fareed settled on as the best non-QB Rams of the century were as follows:

- Left Tackle Orlando Pace: The first three seasons of Pace's career came in the 1990s, but he still made six Pro Bowls and was a First-Team All-Pro on two occasions this century. The former No. 1 overall pick was named to the Hall of Fame's All-2000s Team, and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016.

- Running Back Marshall Faulk: While Faulk's first season in St. Louis was in 1999, he was a First-Team All-Pro twice in the 2000s, including winning NFL MVP in 2000. Between 2000 and 2005, Faulk rushed for 5,578 yards and racked up over 3,000 receiving yards. He was a 2011 inductee to the Hall of Fame.

- Wide Receiver Torry Holt: A first-round pick in 1999, the bulk of Holt's decorated career came during the 2000s. Holt made seven Pro Bowls during the decade and was a First-Team All-Pro in 2003. He was named to the All-2000s team as well, and with 13,382 career receiving yards, Holt figures to have a bust in Canton eventually.

- Running Back Steven Jackson: The Rams selected Jackson with the 24th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, and he spent nine seasons with the franchise. Jackson was a second-team All-Pro in 2006 and 2009, and finished his Rams career with 10,138 rushing yards.

- Defensive Tackle Aaron Donald: Currently preparing for his 10th NFL season, Donald is a nine-time Pro Bowler and has been selected as a First-Team All-Pro on seven occasions. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year was on the Hall of Fame's All-2010s team, and is widely viewed as one of the greatest defensive linemen in NFL history.

Other names that were considered for this list were receivers Cooper Kupp and Isaac Bruce, along with running back Todd Gurley. If Kupp -- who won the Super Bowl LVI MVP -- puts up another elite season or two, it will be increasingly difficult to keep him off lists like this.

Both because of recency bias and an incredible resume, our guess is that Donald will ultimately be crowned the Rams best non-QB since 2000. You can vote for the winner here
