Offensive Line Rams 'Biggest' Offseason Need?

Will boosting the offensive line be key to the Los Angeles Rams getting back in the playoffs in 2023?
In this story:

It may be hard to identify the "biggest need" for the Los Angeles Rams after a 5-12 season decimated with multiple key players' injuries. From Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford, before even star defensive tackle Aaron Donald had his season shut down.

But when Pro Football Focus (PFF) went back to the season opener against the Buffalo Bills, they found that the Rams allowed seven sacks and 23 pressures, which can be used as evidence that maybe the brunt of the problems offensively stemmed up front on the offensive line

In hindsight, that statistic should've been an early red flag for the Rams offensively. The 31-10 opening loss to the Bills starkly contrasted with where Los Angeles ended their Super Bowl-winning season.

In the 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the trenches helped win it all for the Rams. Offensively, the Rams allowed just one sack and five pressures in the winning effort. While defensively, they sacked Joe Burrow five times and pressured him 22 times.

Without a first-round draft pick in this April's upcoming NFL Draft, the Rams will likely have to target linemen through free agency and in the later rounds of the draft.
