The Los Angeles Rams added 14 new players from the 2023 NFL Draft, and have now officially come to terms with their final rookie. The team signed former Tennessee Volunteers defensive end and No. 77 overall pick Byron Young to his rookie deal on Friday, per reports from ESPN.

RamsSI.com questioned a week ago what the delay was in completing the class, and the Rams answered the call.

Typically, contracts only drag out to July 14 due to agents arguing over signing bonus details or an array of miscellaneous situations that could void a contract, none of which were rumored for Young.

One of the best stories in this year's draft, the 25-year-old Young originally went to Gulf Coast Sports Academy out of high school to improve his academics. However, the program dissolved, per nfltraderumors.com.

Young, a zero-star high school recruit, was then an assistant manager at a Georgia Dollar General for 18 months prior to landing a roster spot at Georgia Military College after seeing tryout information on a flyer.

Due to COVID-19, he lost his 2020 season and did not receive serious offers until late fall of that year. Luckily, the Volunteers coaching staff found him.

After transferring to Tennessee, Young was All-SEC First Team last season and totaled 42 tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, and an interception in his two years on Rocky Top.

"He's projected to sign a four-year, $5,556,668 rookie contract that includes a $1,041,213 signing bonus and will carry a cap figure of $1,010,303 in 2023," nfltraderumors.com wrote.

After a long road to the league, Young is officially on contract in the NFL — along with the rest of his draft class. Welcome to Los Angeles.
