'Ruined My Week!' Los Angeles Rams Coach Sean McVay Shares Humorous Jab With Cleveland Browns' Myles Garrett
Sean McVay has room to be in a good mood as of late. After all, the Los Angeles Rams have won three straight games.
The latest win in this sequence came 36-19 over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and the Rams were able to limit Cleveland's stout defense, including star defensive lineman Myles Garrett.
Garrett may not have been 100 percent healthy after sustaining a shoulder injury in Week 12, but Los Angeles put a lot of emphasis on him in its game plan anyway. Following the Rams' win on Sunday, head coach Sean McVay informed Garrett of that fact, and the exchange was shared by Zac Jackson of The Athletic:
“Hey,” McVay yelled towards Garrett. “I want you to know that you ruined my f—ing week just worrying about you, alright?”
On the “Coach McVay Show” this week, the Rams coach went more in-depth about the exchange with Garrett, emphasizing the respect he has for him as a player.
“When we were driving out, he was walking to the buses,” McVay said. “I talked to him a little bit after the game but got a lot of respect for the way he goes about it. He’s a challenging guy to prepare for, so just really said that and kept it moving.”
Being able to contain Garrett on Sunday was a big feat for the Rams, whether he was fully healthy or not. So far in 2023, the Browns defensive end has registered 24 solo tackles, 13 sacks and forced four fumbles on one of the top defenses in the league.

On Sunday against the Rams, however, Garrett failed to find the stat sheet, not recording a tackle or sack in the Browns' loss.
Los Angeles has another strong defense to face this Sunday when it travels to take on the Baltimore Ravens. Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m. PT, and the game will be televised on FOX.
