Report: Rams Receiver Demarcus Robinson Suing Hotel After Alleged Robbery
Los Angeles Rams receiver Demarcus Robinson filed a lawsuit against an L.A.-area hotel last week, claiming the establishment didn't adequately protect him during an armed robbery last fall.
According to TMZ Sports, Robinson claims the robbery took place at North Hollywood's Lexen Hotel around midnight on Oct. 20, 2023. He says that he entered the hotel through a side entrance before two masked men drew their guns on him and threatened to kill him.
Robinson's suit states that he lost almost $150,000 worth of valuables in the robbery, including two diamond chains and a luxury watch.
The veteran receiver says that there were no security guards in the hotel lobby, and the employees who were there did not call for help until the suspects fled the scene.
As a result, Robinson is seeking $149,500 plus punitive in damages from the hotel. He adds in his suit that the incident took an "emotional toll" on him.
Robinson, 29, just finished his first season with the Rams after joining the team in June. He proved to be a valuable depth addition, catching 26 passes for 371 yards and four touchdowns.

In the Rams' Wild Card Round loss to the Detroit Lions, Robinson finished with three catches for 44 yards, a distant second behind Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate Puka Nacua.
Before coming to L.A., Robinson spent the first six years of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs and the 2022 season with the Baltimore Ravens. The Florida product is scheduled to hit free agency again this offseason.
