'Sea Of Red': San Francisco 49ers Fans Expected to Outnumber Rams Fans

The Los Angeles Rams appear to not have a home-field advantage over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2.
In this story:

One of the main perks of playing a home game is that theoretically your fans will come out and support the team and make life difficult for your opponent to relay play calls.

We have seen fan bases in Seattle and Kansas City among others impact the game with their roaring, but for the Rams in their Week 2 matchup it may be the opposite. After a huge Week 1 win in Seattle, the Rams return to Los Angeles to host another rival in the San Francisco 49ers

However, while they would like to see the crowd full of blue and gold, it will instead likely be filled with the colors of their foe. According to a Vivid Seats projection, the crowd at SoFi on Sunday is expected to be 64% 49ers fans and 36% Rams fans.

Not only is that number staggering, but it also indicates that the Rams are continually struggling to tap into Los Angeles and generate support. 49ers' star edge rusher Nick Bosa even went as far as to say that the San Francisco fans 'will take over L.A.'.

As it stands right now, not only are the Rams fans expected to be outnumbered, but their team is also 7.5-point underdogs on Sunday. ESPN's Matchup Predictor also heavily favors San Francisco, giving them a 65.5% chance of winning the Week 2 matchup.

It is also worth noting that the 49ers have won the last eight meetings between the two teams, which is likely another reason that their fans love coming to Los Angeles so much.
