Rams Free Agent Jordan Fuller to Sign With Panthers
Los Angeles Rams free agent safety Jordan Fuller had set a meeting with the Carolina Panthers this week.
And by all accounts, that meeting went extremely well. According to multiple reports, Fuller is now signing with the Panthers.
Ranked at No. 59 among top free agents by Pro Football Talk, Fuller has been a reliable figure in their lineup, playing in 48 regular-season games, and starting 46 over the last four seasons.
However, his 2022 season saw a setback with a hamstring injury, limiting him to just three games.
Last season might have been Fuller's best, with the veteran finishing the year with three interceptions, along with 94 tackles and a career-high eight passes defended across 17 games
The Panthers, having parted ways with Vonn Bell and, in addition to a Jeremy Chinn move to Washington, have a notable gap in their defensive secondary - one that Fuller is now set to fill.
Rams to Sign Commanders Free Agent Safety Kamren Curl
His move to the Panthers not only addresses their defensive needs but also reunites him with Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, under whom Fuller previously played with the Rams.
This existing connection could smooth his transition into the Panthers' defensive scheme.
As for the Rams, they recently brought in a potential replacement for Fuller, in former Commanders safety Kam Curl, who agreed to a deal with L.A. on Thursday night.
Curl finished the year with a very impressive 115 total tackles, with 74 of them being solo tackles. He also tallied three tackles for loss, one sack, and one forced fumble.
