'Talk to Me!': Rams' Jalen Ramsey Gets Recruiting Pitch from Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown
Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey has made it quite clear that he won't be getting cut this offseason. Of course, a trade still remains a possibility, something that even Ramsey couldn't deny.
But regardless of how Ramsey's LA career could potentially come to an end - something that remains anyone's guess as of now - it's all the same to Detroit Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who has a direct message for the man himself.
“I keep seeing these Jalen Ramsey (rumors). They might release him, or how that’s gonna work,” St. Brown said on the "St. Brown Brothers" podcast. "Jalen, if you can hear this ... Talk to me, talk to me."
In his quest to get Ramsey to join an up-and-coming Lions team, St. Brown is pulling out any sort of connection he can to convince the six-time Pro Bowler that Motor City is the place to be.
"I know you played with (Jared) Goff before," St. Brown said. "Detroit might seem like a landing spot, my guy."
While Goff certainly had a nice re-emergence this past season while St. Brown proved himself as one of the league's best receivers in just his second year, this may not be enough to get Ramsey to come to Detroit, even in the highly unlikely scenario that he's cut by LA.
But a Ramsey trade between two teams that are all too familiar in these kind of discussions with one another? Now that could be a whole different story.
Still, Ramsey is a Ram as of now. And apparently, only one St. Brown brother believes Ramsey's future could lie in Detroit.
"He doesn't want to go to Detroit," Amon-Ra's brother and Chicago Bears receiver Equanimeous St. Brown said. "He doesn't want to do that."
The Rams will now continue through what should be an interesting offseason ... and don't expect the Ramsey recruiting to stop.
