With NFL teams required to trim their rosters down to a maximum of 53 players by Tuesday, general managers across the league have begun making cuts.

Among the players impacted by roster cutdowns was former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Kurt Warner's son, Kade, who was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon.

Throughout the preseason, the undrafted 6-foot-1 receiver tried to earn his spot on the team's 53-man roster.

However, over the preseason, Warner struggled to make a noteworthy impact on the team, as he only managed to catch two passes for 29 yards throughout the team's three exhibition games.

While the receiver fell short of making the Buccaneers' roster, he had the chance to experience a unique full-circle moment with his father.

The undrafted receiver made his preseason debut for the Buccaneers in a home game at Raymond James Stadium, where they faced a 27-17 defeat against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Interestingly, this was the same stadium and opponent against whom his father played his final NFL game, losing 27-23 to the Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII.

Though his professional career started with a challenging beginning, the undrafted receiver can find inspiration in his father, who is considered one of the greatest underdog stories in NFL history.

While hoping for a Hall of Fame career like his father's might be unrealistic, Kade will need to follow in Kurt's footsteps and invest exceptional effort to attain success as he aims to secure his position as a successful undrafted player in the NFL.
