When Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Los Angeles Dodgers left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw were kids, they ran the Little League circuit in Dallas.

Both played for the White Sox in legion ball before playing both football and baseball together at Highland Park High School with Stafford catching for Kershaw. The future Hall of Fame left-handed pitcher was Stafford's center for a season before quitting to focus on baseball, which was certainly the right decision.

The two former Scots and lifelong friends got a chance to meet back up on "Rams Day" at Dodger Stadium Sunday where Stafford threw out the first pitch for Los Angeles' series finale against the Atlanta Braves. This time Kershaw was catching for him.

The Rams' X account had a little fun in their estimation for how fast Stafford's heater was.

"Right down the middle," the team's account said in a post. "Clocked at 99 MPH."

After the two posed for a photo together, Stafford brought his family out to say the most famous words at Dodger Stadium.

"It's time for Dodger baseball," Stafford, wife Kelly and children Tyler, Chandler, Sawyer and Hunter said in unison.

Stafford and Kershaw have both helped lead their respective teams to championships during their tenures in Los Angeles. The Dodgers won the World Series in 2020, while the Rams won the Super Bowl in 2021.

Both made their professional debuts in 2008. Stafford has thrown 52,082 yards and 333 touchdowns, while Kershaw has pitched to a 2.48 ERA with 2,927 strikeouts in nearly 2,700 innings.

That's a lot of throw balls in that friendship.
