Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford's hip injury will not hold him back against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

All week long, Los Angeles Rams fans have been closely watching the status of quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Stafford suffered what coach Sean McVay called "a little hip contusion" during Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts. While Stafford toughed out the injury to finish the game, as he so often has, he was visibly uncomfortable after the injury. In the days following the game, Stafford's health has been arguably the biggest storyline surrounding the Rams.

L.A. fans can rest a bit easier on Wednesday, though, as McVay confirmed that Stafford will be at full strength for the upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“He's full go, yep. He's as tough as it gets, you know that," McVay told reporters. "And so we're not going to be running a lot of zone read or anything like that today so he'll be in good shape... He does such a great job at taking care of himself and doing a lot of things at home as well. So he is, I think feeling good would be a strong way to describe it, but he's able to go through and be a full participant which is a good thing for us.”

Stafford himself added more assurance, saying that he shouldn't have any limitations.

"So being able to practice, I feel good that I'll be out there on Sunday. I should be. Adrenaline's a hell of a thing. I'll probably be moving around pretty well. When you're running, big guys chasing after you, sometimes you run fast and forget about what's ailing you. I'll be moving around just fine.”

Stafford has been known to fight through injuries in the past, and in his age-35 season, a more cautious approach would be justified. However, it seems as if both he and the team are fully committed to playing on Sunday.

As the Rams look to prove their legitimacy in a clash with the defending NFC champions, having their star quarterback at full strength is absolutely critical.
