After an unlikely playoff berth for the Los Angeles Rams this past season, four players were voted to play in the Pro Bowl. However, only two players will participate in the NFL's version of an All-Star game, as Rams starting quarterback Matthew Stafford has pulled out.

According to a report from The Athletic's Michael-Shawn Duggar, Stafford will be replaced by fellow NFC West signal-caller Geno Smith.

The 35-year-old becomes the second quarterback from the NFC to be elected to the Pro Bowl before opting out, as the Dallas Cowboys' Dak Prescott has been replaced by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield.

Unlike Prescott, who reportedly backed out of participating in the Pro Bowl, no reason has been given for why the Rams star quarterback will take part in the festivities that kick off with the skills showdown on Thursday.

However, many can assume that Stafford did not participate due to a potential injury that may have occurred this past season.

So, while fans can expect not to see either Aaron Donald or Stafford, the Rams will still be represented by running back Kyren Williams and receiver Puka Nacua.
