Rams Mock Draft Roundup: Where Will LA Go at No. 36?
The bill came due quicker than expected for the Los Angeles Rams. A year after winning the Super Bowl, the Rams struggled through a 5-12 season.
While the Rams don't have a first-round pick -- as per usual -- Los Angeles has 11 total picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. Here's a roundup of what experts currently believe the Rams will do with the first of those picks, the No. 36 overall selection:
Chad Reuter of NFL Media: Isaiah Foskey, EDGE, Notre Dame
Over his final two seasons playing for the Irish, Foskey posted 23 tackles for a loss, 20.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles. He was a consensus All-American in 2022.
Natalie Miller of Draft Wire: Derick Hall, EDGE, Auburn
Hall was First-Team All-SEC in 2022, forcing two fumbles, record an interception and posting 11.5 tackles for a loss.
Justin Melo of The Draft Network: Tyler Steen, OT, Alabama
After transferring from Vanderbilt to Alabama for his final collegiate season, Steen was Second-Team All-Sec. The Rams struggled to protect Matthew Stafford after the retirement of Andrew Whitworth, and Melo says that Steen's "pre-draft stock is hotter than the general public realizes" after he stood out at the Senior Bowl.
Kyle Lindemann of Roto Baller: B.J. Ojulari, EDGE, LSU
Ojulari's best season at LSU was actually his sophomore campaign of 2021, when he racked up seven sacks and 12 tackles for a loss. Still he was First-Team All-SEC in 2022. He could be the second member of his family to be a second round, as his brother Azeez was taken by the New York Giants with the 50th overall pick in 2021.
