Can Los Angeles Rams Star Kyren Williams Be NFL's Most Productice Back?
The Los Angeles Rams had one of the best running backs in the NFL this past season, and he could further improve this season by remaining on the field the entire year.
Kyren Williams was one of the best running backs in the entire league, as he came out of nowhere and was one of the biggest reasons why the team was able to surprise a lot of people this season and make the playoffs.
Last season, he finished with 12 rushing touchdowns, which ranked him seventh in the entire league - and six behind the NFL leader Raheem Mostert. Williams did this while not playing in five games this past season. Even though one was the final game of the season where not many of the starters played, the other four came as a result of an ankle injury.
In just his second season in the NFL, Williams was named Second Team All-Pro and was selected for his first Pro Bowl. In addition to the touchdown numbers, Williams was also third in the league in rushing yards with 1144, only behind Derrick Henry and Christian McCaffrey.
If Williams is able to stay on the field this season, then he could be poised to dethrone Mostert as the rushing touchdown leader, and perhaps even McCaffrey and Henry in total rushing yards. But not only can Williams do it on the ground, he can also catch passes for touchdowns, and that lends well to the passing game that the Rams have.
