Los Angeles Rams Closer To Bottom In Latest NFL Power Rankings

The Los Angeles Rams are on the wrong side of .500 and are near the bottom of the NFL power rankings
In this story:

The Los Angeles Rams have lost their last two games by a combined 10 points, and currently find themselves with a 1-2 record.

They had multiple chances on Monday to overcome a deficit against the Cincinnati Bengals had built, but for the second straight week came up short - this time with a 19-16 loss. They have winnable games coming up in the next month with matchups against the Colts, Cardinals, and Steelers but they need to overcome their issues that have them consistently working behind the eight-ball.

On top of the losses hurting their record, it has also affected where they rank in Sporting News' Power Rankings. Just last week they were one spot out of the top 10, but following their latest loss they have now fallen to the bottom half of NFL teams, coming in at No. 18.

There weren't many negative reviews as to why they had fallen this low but most of the teams ahead of them have better records and have shown more consistency. One bright spot: the rankings raved about the youngsters stepping up.

Writes the outlet: "The Rams' start vs. a tough schedule is still surprising as they have been more put together offensively under Sean McVay with young Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua as the principals for now, but their young defense also gets credit for still looking good vs. the pass."

The Rams have a prime chance to bounce back against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, as the Colts will be starting a rookie in Anthony Richardson (working through a concussion issue) or will be giving the nod to journeyman Gardner Minshew.

According to ESPN's odds, the Colts are 1.5-point favorites at this time, but their matchup predictor gives the Rams a 55.9% chance of winning.
