Rams QB Matthew Stafford Injured After Huge Hit, But Returns vs. Lions
Disaster nearly struck for the Los Angeles Rams in their playoff matchup vs. the Detroit Lions.
Late in the third quarter with his team down 24-17 in their Wild Card matchup vs. the Lions, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford took a huge hit from two Detroit defensive linemen and appeared to be significantly injured.
Stafford was slow to get up on the play, hobbled to the sideline clutching his arm close to his side, and was hunched over.
The veteran was then taken to the blue medical tent where he underwent further medical evaluation.
Per reports, the independent neurotrauma specialist was among the medical evaluators in the tent helping to evaluate Stafford.
Since going down on the play and undergoing evaluation, Stafford has returned to the sidelines and has been attempting throws, obviously hoping to get back in the game.
Stafford was able to return on the next drive.
